Health Checkups

FY2024

The following health checkup courses provided by the YG Health Insurance Society cover the items to be included in health checkups funded by employers and specific health checkups (specified health diagnosis).
Members can undergo health checkups once per fiscal year. The ages given are as of the end of the fiscal year (March 31, 2025).
Employees' copayments and available checkup courses vary based on the employer's decisions.

Health Checkup Courses

Members can receive the following health checkups at the medical care institutions specified by the YG Health Insurance Society:

Optional Inspection

Those wishing to check option examination, please apply in advance to each contract medical institution in advance.
You will be billed the entire amount if you lack eligibility or if you are examined at a facility other than a contracted medical care institution.
Insured persons (not including Voluntarily and Continuously Insured Persons) may be eligible for assistance from their employers equal to their copayments. For more information, contact the HR section at your employer.

Note the Following

The fee for optional examinations is paid on the day of the checkup. If you want to receive optional examinations other than the above, make a direct appointment with the medical institution and pay the entire fee on the day of the checkup.

Checkup Results

The checkup results will be sent to your home address approximately two weeks to one month after the checkup.

Handling of Personal Information for Appointments and Checkups

The policy for handling personal information received for appointments and checkups is indicated below. We ask that you consent to such handling before participating in checkups.

Goal of Using Personal Information

The personal information we receive is used within the scope indicated below.

  • Registering checkup appointments, checking checkup eligibility, sending medical questionnaires, sending checkup tickets
  • Medical checkups, sending checkup documents such as checkup result reports, accounting for checkup fees, sending administrative notices
  • Making diagnoses based on checkup results, giving specified health guidance, issuing letters of referral
  • Contacting for office work and providing specified health guidance after checkups
  • Anonymous case research to improve the quality of checkup techniques
  • Specified health guidance according to the judgment level based on the Act on Assurance of Medical Care for Elderly People
  • Processing statistics

Provision and Shared Use of Personal Information for Medical Checkups

  • When an employer outsources (legally proscribed) medical checkups to the Society, the results of health checkups for insured persons shall be provided to the employer and shared with the Society to maintain health and safety of workers and comply with the Industrial Safety and Health Act.
  • Unless stipulated by the law, personal information shall not be provided to third parties without the consent of the individual in question.

Outsourcing Work

We outsource some work related to medical checkups upon entering into confidentiality agreements and memorandums on the handling of personal information.
