Childbirth (with additional benefits)
“A Childbirth and Childcare Lump-Sum Grant” is paid when an insured person gives birth. “A Dependents' Childbirth and Childcare Lump-Sum Grant” is paid when a dependent family member gives birth. Don't forget to add the newborn as a dependent in these cases.
Two or three months after the birth, the Society will send an application form for any difference in amounts (if the costs associated with the birth were less than 500,000 yen) and for additional benefits. Please complete and return this application.
